Seachtain na Gaeilge is an international Irish language festival with Energia and is the biggest celebration of our native language and culture that takes place in Ireland and many other countries every year. As we celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge this year under very different circumstances, we remember and celebrate all that makes us Irish – our culture, our history, our music, our dance, a sense of belonging and our sense of spirit.
Seachtain na Gaeilge gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy the Irish language by participating in the festival, both native speakers, learners and those with a few words, by providing a calendar of entertaining and fun events for all interests and age groups. Events in Seachtain na Gaeilge are organized by voluntary and community groups, local councils, schools, libraries, and music, sports, arts and cultural organizations in their area.
The Irish language belongs to everyone, to every community Seachtain na Gaeilge with Energia – Try It Out – Surprise Yourself!
