  • Our school places an emphasis on the local environment, local history, placenames, study of local flora and fauna, visits to local forestry, Kildalton College and historical sites.
  • Piltown N.S. implements a programme of road safety and personal safety to ensure a safe environment for all.
  • The new revised Curriculum as laid down by the Department of Education & Science is followed in our school.
  • Piltown N.S. strives to develop a good work ethic while encouraging a sense of fun and achievement, allied to the development of a deep sense of discipline and courtesy.
  • We recognise the importance of sport in the development of young children. Sport and sport skills are fostered – hurling, camogie, Gaelic football, Peil na mBan and soccer, swimming, chess, volleyball, unihoc, athletics, orienteering, tag rugby.
  • All our plans and policies will be under ongoing scrutiny & review and will be modified, altered and updated where necessary.
